Tomorrow is supposed to be a
supermoon, and thought it would be nice to get a photo of it. I don't have any fancy equipment, but a handheld shot is perfectly fine because of how bright the moon is. Also, the moon is quite big so an ordinary telephoto lens will do.
Let's have a go:

Pretty normal. |
The photo isn't
APOD worthy, but it is still rather nice.
Last year I took a sequence of the lunar eclipse:

Didn't get a good photo of the "blood moon" effect.
For now the photoshop controller is in slow development. I have quite a bit of work to do, but the cross country season just ended, so that should give me some more time. Robotics, college apps, and just plain school all have things that just need to get done. At least it's almost December!
Also, it's probably a good time to upload some more photos from when I went to Fremont Peak last year:

Whoa. |
I know the colors are way out of wack compared to real life, but after stacking all the frames from the timelapse using DeepSkyStacker, I found that this looked pretty mesmerizing. I mean, just look at how big a difference light pollution makes:

From my front yard, with copious amounts of dehaze. |
There's almost no detail at all!

M31: Andromeda |
A stacked photo of Andromeda. I was somewhat in a rush to get the photos since it was quite late and Fremont Peak was about an hour away from home. If I could redo this I would probably would have gotten more frames at a higher ISO. Maybe even use a longer lens (but shorter exposure). This image was taken using the nifty-fifty (50mm) and cropped.
